Epoxy Resin

System Three Epoxy Resin

System Three Epoxy Resin This is the "workhorse" of the System Three resins stable, fitting well into over 90% of all epoxy applications. It is a solvent-free, unfilled, medium-modulus epoxy system. The resin is formulated for use with any of three hardeners. System Three® resin has excellent pot life and cure-time control. Refer to "The Epoxy Book" for complete instructions on its many uses.

System Three Hardener #1 (Fast)

System Three Hardener #1 (Fast) This hardener is for low temperature use. Its’ uses include coating and glassing at all temperatures and general purpose use below 70°F. Hardener #1 will cure down to 35°F under damp conditions. It’s potlife is 15 minutes in 77°F. Thin films set and are tack free to the light touch in about 2 hours at 77°F.

System Three Hardener #2 (Medium)

System Three Hardener #2 (Medium) This hardener is for intermediate temperature use. It is to be used in temperatures above 55°F in damp or dry conditions. Pot life at 77°F is 30 minutes. Thin films set and are tack free in about 4 hours at 77°F. General purpose hardener from 60 to 85°F. For large glue jobs requiring long open assembly times above 80°F it should be slowed with Hardener#3.

System Three Hardener #3 (Slow)

System Three Hardener #3 (Slow) This hardener is for high temperature use. It works great for gluing jobs where long open assembly times at elevated temperatures are required. Because it is so sluggish, this hardener is not recommended for use by itself for coating jobs. Hardener #3 can be used alone in damp or dry conditions at temperatures 75°F and above. *The best use of this hardener is when mixed with Hardeners #1 and #2. It will put the brakes on them.

DMC Epoxy Resin

DMC Epoxy Resin 100 % solids two component epoxy laminating system with excellent wet out, medium viscosity and high strength. Very low odor and toxicity. Easy to use, volumetric mixing, safe, and fast curing family of products using a common resin and two hardeners for a variety of end use applications. Used for fast curing, penetrating wood coatings, adhesives and sealers, and fiberglass laminating. 4:1 volume mix ratio with DMC Fast and Medium Epoxy Hardener.

DMC Fast Epoxy Hardener

DMC Fast Epoxy Hardener 4:1 ratio with DMC Epoxy resin. Gel time (77°F): 14 - 19 minutes. Set time (77°F): 1.5 – 2.5 hours. Flexural Strength, psi: 16,000. Tensile Strength, psi: 9,000.

DMC Medium Epoxy Hardener

DMC Medium Epoxy Hardener 4:1 ratio with DMC Epoxy resin. Gel time (77°F): 30 – 35 minutes. Set time (77°F): 3.5 -5.0 hours. Flexural Strength, psi: 13,000. Tensile Strength, psi: 6,000.

Jeffco 1307

Jeffco 1307 High perfomance, low viscosity multifunctional epoxy resin containing minimal reactive diluent content for maximum property retention. Reduced viscosity allows for faster and easier wetting of reinforcement materials. 100% solids, no VOC's, very clear, highly resistant to crystallization, low odor and skin toxicity, and DOT non-regulated. Easy 4:1 volume mix ratio with Jeffco 3176 (medium hardener). This resin is an aircraft grade epoxy.

Jeffco 3176 Hardener

Jeffco 3176 Hardener Modified polyamide/polyamine hardener. Twelve minute cycle time at standard process temperatures. Excellent bonding to difficult substrates. Fast wetting for fiberglass reinforcements. Easy to use 4:1 volumetric mix ratio. Excellent flexibility when used in sub-zero environments (on-snow applications). Low toxicity, low odor system. No VOC's, 100% solids. Ships DOT non-regulated.

System Three Clear Coat Kit

System Three Clear Coat Kit This is an extremely low viscosity, clear, water white, solvent-free “penetrating” epoxy system. Clear Coat is ideal for the sealing of wood, porous surfaces and the wetting out of fiberglass cloth for bright finished boats. Use as a primer (base) for clear LPU or varnish coatings and as a penetrating first coat for blister repair on fiberglass boats. Use also for those applications that require a long pot life and low viscosity. Clear Coat cures to a brilliantly clear, very tough coating without the usual “amine blush” associated with some epoxy resin films. Clear Coat contains no volatile solvents.

System Three SB-112 Kit

System Three SB-112 Kit SB-112 is a clear almost water-white, high modulus epoxy resin system that has ultraviolet light stabilizers. This makes it ideal for use on surfboards and sailboards over polystyrene cores. This product can cure to glossy, blush-free surfaces. SB-112 is different than other epoxy resin systems because polyester resins and gel coats can be bonded directly to it without using “tie coats”.
